Phill has been working in carpentry and remodeling with his father Fritz Steele since he was able to walk. Phill attended the University of Dubuque, Majoring in Health, Wellness and Recreation along with playing on the Men's Soccer team.

Phill was inspired by his father at a young age to start his own remodeling business, so after finishing college Phill opened Steele Home Remodeling LLC in the summer of 2011. In his free time Phill enjoys fishing, soccer, basketball and playing with his dog Mac.
